When researching, it's so easy to get distracted by all the interesting links you seee along the way. You'd like to remember them for later but of course don't want to add them to your favorites or bookmarks until you've checked them out.

That's why I cooked this little tool up.

LaterMaybe remembers you via a randomly-generated "cookie" that's stored by your browser. The cookie will expire in 12 months unless you clear it earlier. Note that cookies are different on different browsers, so two diffent browsers, or even the same browser under a different Windows or Mac login will keep different records. The main advantage with this method is that you can collect your own private list of interesting links for later viewing without any need to create an account or log in.

Once you've installed the Mozilla Firefox (for Windows or Macintosh) or Internet Explorer (Windows only) extension, the next time you start up the browser there'll be an extra item on the context menu titled "Later Maybe". If you select this when clicked on a link, the link and description will be stored in your private database at the this web site. To store the current page address, bring up the context menu in a blank area of the page.

When you select "Later, maybe", a small pop-behind window will open up confirming your save. You can close this any time or leave it there. If you close it, it will reappear each time you add a link (this is standard behavior; your browser shouldn't usually pass intofmation to a web server without visual confirmation).

To view your links, select LaterMaybe from your browser's Tools menu. On this page you can also delete any links you no longer require.

To get started, install the Firefox extension or download and run the Internet Explorer extension installer. If you're not familiar with installing browser extensions, please read the either the Internet Explorer installation information or the Mozilla Firefox installation information document.
